ArmInfo. June 29-30 in Yerevan will be the 11th business forum Digitech under the slogan "Smart Solutions for Smart Business". The chairman of the Union of Companies of Advanced Technologies (UCAT, formerly the Union of IT Companies - UITC - Ed.) Alexander Yesayan announced on June 28 at a press conference.
"Digitech is the only platform where IT companies can communicate with business, and present their solutions to them," he said. In addition, A. Yesayan said that on the second day of the forum, it is planned to hold closed discussions, where participants will consider the format of interaction between high technologies and the military-industrial complex, in which the defense minister and representatives of interested parties will participate. Karpat Vardanyan, the Executive Director of the Joint Control Commission of the Union of Civil Aviation, said that the Union had proposed to the Prime Minister that a separate committee for technological modernization of the country should be established, which provides for a comprehensive approach and covers such spheres as military industry, business, infrastructure, education. According to him, this issue will be raised in the course of discussions within Digitech.
During the press conference, the expert in the field of information security Ruben Muradyan also spoke. He noted that there is a need to deepen cooperation between the state and companies developing solutions for information security. According to the expert, the leakage of information has recently increased and in this context the state has serious problems. "2 years ago there was a severe impact of cryptoviruses, in 2017 - the banking system suffered. This is not one precedent, and not two. I hope that within the framework of closed discussions we will be able to understand what decisions must be taken in the field of information security," he stressed.
During the forum the participants will discuss the problems of state importance and IT solutions used in the military industry, cyber security, renewable energy, electronic control, the sphere of artificial intelligence, data science, etc.
