ArmInfo. In the near future, the strategy of the "Yerevan Smart City" project will be improved, in particular, until 2025, it is planned to create technological platforms for different sectors of the city economy.
This was stated during the speech at the 7th Russian-Armenian interregional forum, which takes place in the Meridian Exhibition Center, Synopsys Armenia Executive Director Hovik Musaelyan said. He explained that the sites will be created in order to enable citizens to make their proposals. Musaelyan noted that for the development of the project a special commission was created under his chairmanship, in the work of which the best IT specialists of Armenia, experts of various industries and representatives of world famous companies are involved. "We intend to turn Yerevan into one of the advanced cities of the world," he stressed.
The head of Synopsys Armenia explained that the project provides for the creation of virtual start-ups, and as a result of the competitions between them, the best solutions for the development of urban economy will be revealed. In this vein, he stressed that the investment fund "Smart City" had recently been established to develop this initiative. In his conversation with ArmInfo, he noted that at the moment, international negotiations are underway to raise funds for the improvement of the strategy of the Yerevan-smart city project.
