ArmInfo. Zangezour Copper-Modibdenum Combine intends to implement a new investment program worth $ 20 million, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was informed about this, who visited the enterprise the day before.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, in the framework of the new investment program the company intends to purchase the most modern equipment that will allow the exploitation of mines with a low ore content.
Previously, ArmInfo reported that the Russian enterprise Uralvagonzavod concluded a major contract with the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine to supply its most powerful bulldozers. The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant), which is part of the UVZ, will create a batch of DET-400M diesel-electric tractors commercially available for the customer. This equipment will be transferred to the customer specifically through the ChTZ-Uraltrak dealer in the Armenian capital - Spetsmash. The largest in Armenia Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine will be the purchaser of the equipment. New bulldozers will be involved in ore mining in quarries. The choice of the customer fell on the unit in an exclusive version - an imported engine will be installed on the export machine, but otherwise this tractor will consist entirely of Russian parts and components. Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum Combine operates the Kajaran copper-molybdenum deposit. The ore is provided for about 150 years. The plant produces molybdenum and copper concentrates. Molybdenum concentrate contains 50% molybdenum, copper content in copper concentrate - not lower than 15%. The company's shareholders are Germany's Cronimet Mining (60%), Yerevan Iron Pure Plant (15%), Armenian Molybdenum Production LLC and Zangezur Mining LLC (12.5% each). The products, processed by the plant, are supplied to Europe.
