Armenia`s fruit and vegetable export increased by 68%

ArmInfo.  As of July 27, the export  of fruits and vegetables increased by 67.8% compared to the same  period in 2017 - by 45 thousand tons, the press service of the  Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia reported.

According to the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture, 111  348 tons of fresh fruit and vegetable products were exported from the  republic. During the reporting period, 12,837 tons were purchased -  an increase of 21.3% or 2,251 tons.

By July 27, 2018, an unprecedented annual growth in the export of  apricots was recorded - by 76.5% - to 50,258 tons.

Armenia exported fruit and vegetable mainly to Russia (about 104,318  tons), as well as to Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Iraq,  Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Belgium, Romania, Kuwait,  Qatar and the USA.
