ArmInfo. In Armenia, in the first half of 2018, 3,852.8 million kWh electricity was produced, with annual growth of 1.5%. According to the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia, in June alone, electricity generation increased by 7.8% to 615.1 million kWh.
In the first half of 2018, TPPs increased electricity production by 2.2% per annum - to 1,469.5 million kWh. At the same time, HPPs reduced electricity production by 2% - up to 1,239.2 million kWh. During the reporting period, the Armenian NPP produced 1,141.1 million kWh of electricity, with annual growth of 0.2%. During the reporting period, 24 thousand gigajoules of thermal energy were produced, with an annual growth of 27.7%. Wind power plants produced 1 million kWh of electricity in the reporting period, reducing the volume in the annual section by 16.7%.
The generation of electricity in Armenia in 2017 amounted to 7,762.9 million kWh, with an annual growth of 6.1%. In particular, TPPs increased electricity generation by 11.2%, HPPs reduced electricity generation by 3.5%, Armenian NPP increased generation by 10%.
