ArmInfo.In January-July 2018 passenger traffic in Armenian airports increased by 11% to 1,525,537 people. According to the press service of the General Department of Civil Aviation, in July alone Armenian airports served 318 585 people, which is by 13.8% more than the indicator of the previous year.
The passenger traffic at the Zvartnots airport increased by 7.7% year-over-year in January-July to 1,431,555 people and in July alone amounted to 300,687 people with a year-over-year growth of 11.1%. Cargo transportation at Zvartnots Airport decreased by 25.4% to 9,478 tons during the reporting period. The passenger traffic at the Shirak airport was 93 986 people in January-July with a year-over-year growth by 2.1-fold. In July Gyumri Airport received 17898 people, exceeding almost 2 -fold the indicator of the previous year.
According to the source, in the reported period 11.3% y-o-y increase in embarkings and take offs was registered at the "Zvartnots" and "Shirak" airports.
