David Ananyan: Tax revenues for the first 7 months of 2018 exceeded  figure planned in the budget

The State Revenue  Committee of the Republic of Armenia for the first 7 months of 2018  collected more taxes than it was planned, Head of the department  David Ananyan stated in a conversation with journalists referring to  the results of Armenian tax authorities' activity for the latest 3  months.

In particular, as David Ananyan explained, the expected tax revenues  of the state budget for the current year exceeded the planned figure  for 2017 by about 105-107 billion drams. "Thus, during the first 7 months of this year, we managed to collect the indicated 107 billion. 

Today, we will abstain from assessing what percentage of this amount  can be considered tax revenues of the state treasury," he said.  To  recall, according to preliminary data of the State Revenue  Committee, in H1 2018 the department collected tax revenues in the  amount of 649.7 billion AMD, which exceeds the similar indicator for the previous year by 88.2 billion drams or 15.6%. Meanwhile, according to the state budget for 2018, the revenue part will make  1.308.2 billion drams, against 1.210.0 billion drams approved for 2017 and 1.135.9 billion drams actual for the year 2016.

At the same time, tax revenue is expected to grow. In particular, the Ministry of  Finance expects growth in tax revenues to 1, 248. 5 billion drams. Economic growth in 2018 is planned at 4.5% or $ 11.948.9 million.
