ArmInfo. Since August 28, the State Food Safety Service of Armenia introduced temporary restrictions on imports of pork and live poultry from some Russian. The announcement is posted on the website of the department.
In particular, as reported, since August 28, pork and food products with its content, as well as live poultry, products from it and eggs from Russia, have been temporarily stopped. The introduced ban will concern both live pigs, and hornless, tanning, intestinal raw materials, meat of wild pig, hunting trophies, bristles, all kinds of food additives and feed for pigs. In addition to live birds, Russian feed, poultry products, eggs, fluff, feathers, meat-and-bone flour, cardboard and polymer liners and boxes cannot be imported into Armenia.
This decision was made taking into account the data published on the official page of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) that diseases of African swine fever and avian flu have been recorded in the Russian Federation. The decision of the head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia regarding zoning of territories in connection with infectious diseases of animals was also taken into account.
