In Armenia, electricity generation in January-July 2018 increased by 0.8% per annum

ArmInfo. In January-July, 2018, 4 527.3 million kWh were generated in Armenia. electricity, with an annual growth of 0.8%. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in July alone, electricity generation increased by 9.7% to 674.5 million kWh.

In January-July, 2018, TPPs increased electricity generation by 11.2% per annum - up to 1874.2 million kWh. At the same time, HPPs increased electricity generation by 3.4% to 1,505.8 million kWh.  During the reporting period, the Armenian NPP produced 1,143.8 million kWh of electricity, with an annual decline of 15.1%. During the reporting period, 24.9 thousand gigajoules of thermal energy were produced, with annual growth of 28.4%. Wind power plants produced 1 million kWh of electricity in the reporting period, reducing the volume in the annual section by 16.7%. Solar power plants produced 2.5 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period.

As a comparison, we note that in January-July 2017, the amount of electricity generated grew by 7.8% per annum, only in July - by 25.5%, and in comparison with July 2016 - by 24.7%.  Recall that the generation of electricity in Armenia in 2017g. was 7 762.9 million kWh, with annual growth of 6.1%. In particular, TPPs increased electricity generation by 11.2%, HPPs reduced electricity generation by 3.5%, Armenian NPP increased generation by 10%.
