ArmInfo. On October 22-24, the"Eurasian Week"  III International Exhibition Forum will be held in Yerevan. It will gather more than 2 thousand participants from the  EEU countries and third countries. In conversation with ArmInfo  correspondent Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and  Investments of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Mkrtchyan noted that  within the framework of the forum it is envisaged to hold a separate  session dedicated to the jewelry and facet industry.

It is not excluded that the session will be held in the "Meridian" free  economic zone.  Carrying out such an event, the adviser to the  minister emphasized, will become a good platform for discussing the  problems existing in the sector, searching for directions for further  cooperation in the jewelry and faceted areas. "The event will be  aimed at developing the cooperation ties, economic, investment and  export potential of the EEU, especially since the opportunities for  cooperation with the Armenian side, taking into account the existing  experience in the jewelry and facet industry, are significant," Gagik  Mkrtchyan said.

To recall the "Eurasian Week"  International Exhibition Forum is  annually held by the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU)  and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) with the support of the  heads of government. Within the framework of the industry track,  there will be sessions on the development of cooperation and export  potential in priority sectors - agriculture and food industry, IT  technologies and precision engineering, pharmaceuticals and medical  products, light industry, jewelry and building materials. Within the  framework of the business track, branch exchanges of subcontracts  will be organized, aimed at stimulating contacts between large,  medium and small business of the EEU and third countries. The  strategic track will become a platform for direct dialogue between  business and regulators at the national and supranational level, at  which entrepreneurs and investors will learn about the rules of doing  business in the EEU. This year, within the framework of the forum, a  large-scale exhibition of export and cooperation potential is  planned, with exhibitors of more than 120 companies.

"Last year we managed to achieve the main  goal of the forum - business showed active interest in the processes  taking place in the Union, more than 60% of the forum participants  are representatives of the business community of the EEU and partner  countries." I am sure this year the event will become even bigger and  more interesting ",  she declared. In 2017, the forum was held in the  fields of EXPO-2017 and was included in the list of 18 most  significant events of the business part of the World Exhibition.
