ArmInfo. On October 22-24, the"Eurasian Week" III International Exhibition Forum will be held in Yerevan. It will gather more than 2 thousand participants from the EEU countries and third countries. In conversation with ArmInfo correspondent Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Mkrtchyan noted that within the framework of the forum it is envisaged to hold a separate session dedicated to the jewelry and facet industry.
It is not excluded that the session will be held in the "Meridian" free economic zone. Carrying out such an event, the adviser to the minister emphasized, will become a good platform for discussing the problems existing in the sector, searching for directions for further cooperation in the jewelry and faceted areas. "The event will be aimed at developing the cooperation ties, economic, investment and export potential of the EEU, especially since the opportunities for cooperation with the Armenian side, taking into account the existing experience in the jewelry and facet industry, are significant," Gagik Mkrtchyan said.
To recall the "Eurasian Week" International Exhibition Forum is annually held by the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) with the support of the heads of government. Within the framework of the industry track, there will be sessions on the development of cooperation and export potential in priority sectors - agriculture and food industry, IT technologies and precision engineering, pharmaceuticals and medical products, light industry, jewelry and building materials. Within the framework of the business track, branch exchanges of subcontracts will be organized, aimed at stimulating contacts between large, medium and small business of the EEU and third countries. The strategic track will become a platform for direct dialogue between business and regulators at the national and supranational level, at which entrepreneurs and investors will learn about the rules of doing business in the EEU. This year, within the framework of the forum, a large-scale exhibition of export and cooperation potential is planned, with exhibitors of more than 120 companies.
Earlier Veronika Nikishina, a member of the Board of Trade (Minister) for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, noted that the "Eurasian Week" is becoming one of the key events in the space of the Eurasian Economic Union. "Last year we managed to achieve the main goal of the forum - business showed active interest in the processes taking place in the Union, more than 60% of the forum participants are representatives of the business community of the EEU and partner countries." I am sure this year the event will become even bigger and more interesting ", she declared. In 2017, the forum was held in the fields of EXPO-2017 and was included in the list of 18 most significant events of the business part of the World Exhibition. The forum was attended by more than 2,000 people from 46 countries, including Vietnam, the European Union, Egypt, India, Iran, China, the United States and Turkey.
