ArmInfo. The head of the Central Bank of Armenia, Artur Javadyan, was re-elected to the position of the chairman of the Inter-bank Board for a period of 1 year. As the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia told ArmInfo, the election was held on September 17 at the 57th meeting of the Council of Interstate Bank of the CIS countries, which was held in the Central Bank of Armenia.
According to the source, this meeting discussed the financial report of Inter-bank for the half-year, the main directions of the development strategy for 2019-2020, and other issues.
Recall that Interstatebank was established in 1993 by CIS countries. Intergasbank is an international banking settlement and credit institution with 100% participation of state capitals of the CIS member countries. The purpose of the activity is to promote economic integration and development of national economies of the CIS countries through the creation of a settlement mechanism for cross-border payments in national currencies; crediting of foreign trade operations of the CIS countries in national currencies; participation in the implementation of projects of interstate importance. Intergasbank carries out all measures to counteract the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime.
