Armenia participates in international Middle East exhibition of  natural and organic products in Dubai

ArmInfo. 9 manufacturers from Armenia take part in the international Middle East exhibition of natural and organic products (Middle East Organic & Natural Products  Expo) in Dubai. This was reported by the press service of the  Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the source, a single pavilion <Organic Armenia>, which  exhibits such certified products as honey, mineral waters, natural  juices and vegetable teas, represents Armenia at the annual  exhibition, which runs from November 18 to November 20. It is  expected that 10 thousand professional visitors will visit the event.  The exhibition is the only special event in the region. Like last  year, the participation of Armenian companies in the exhibition took  place within the framework of the Organic Farming Initiative program  financed by the European Union, co-financed and implemented by the  Austrian Development Agency in close cooperation with the Ministry of  Agriculture and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

According to Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of  Armenia Gegham Gevorgyan, the development of organic agriculture in  Armenia is one of the promising areas for unlocking the potential of  the sector. In this context, all steps must be taken to encourage  farmers to produce organic products. "With the assistance of the EU"  Organic Farming Initiative ", Armenian farmers were able to present  their products in different countries of the world every year and  occupy their niche in these markets. Currently, the government is  discussing how to subsidize this type of product We hope it will be  another important step to increase the volume of organic production  in the country, "said the Acting the minister

 "In the European Union, healthy, natural, low-sugar products are in  great demand without artificial components. Armenia has great  potential and advantages for the production of such products, many  companies already have European certificates of organic quality," the  head of EU delegation to Armenia Piotr Switsalski. He added that the  EU is assisting farmers in various regions of Armenia to improve  production and volumes, quality, enter new markets, and promote  export growth.

To note, the exhibition in Dubai is a professional exhibition that  brings together all professionals working in the market of certified  natural products. The visitors are presented a wide range of natural,  herbal, organic and natural products and services for home and  garden, beauty and personal hygiene, proper nutrition, relaxation,  herbal medicine, traditional oriental medicine, etc. Guests can  familiarize themselves with the latest industry trends and the most  interesting innovative products in the organic regional market, and  also to get an idea of all technological stages of the industry, from  processing and production to certification and marketing. Over 10  thousand visitors from 42 countries of the world, 9 foreign pavilions  take part in the show. In total, more than 2000 items of products are  represented.
