ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Iraq Hrachya Poladyan held a meeting with Iraqi Energy Minister Dr. Loay Al-Khatteeb.
The press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo that the interlocutors discussed a number of energy issues of mutual interest, in particular, the Armenian side pointed out the possibilities of supplying electricity from Armenia to Iraq, and also discussed prospects for developing cooperation in using alternative energy sources.
The parties reached an agreement on participation in international exhibitions in this area. The Iraqi Minister spoke about the country's problems in the energy sector and the activities undertaken. He also declared Iraq's readiness to deepen and develop bilateral cooperation.
