ArmInfo. Armenia and Artsakh will create a single price system in the field of telecommunications. On August 8, after a government meeting, the chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) Garegin Baghramyan told reporters.
According to him, work is underway to further reduce roaming tariffs between Armenia and Artsakh. As the head of PSRC noted, tariffs are high, and there is a need to reduce them. "There is already an agreement that from January 1, 2020, a gradual significant reduction in tariffs will be carried out with a frequency of six months: the first reduction on January 1, 2020, then from July 1, 2020 and another one from January 1, 2021," Baghramyan said . He added that a conversation was held on this issue with the Karabakh Telecom operator in Artsakh.
Garegin Baghramyan noted that the price of pairing the network will decrease by 1 dram per year. According to the head of PSRC, negotiations will continue in the near future to establish a schedule and determine the period by which a single pricing policy between operators should be introduced.
To recall, earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan returned to this issue. "The ultimate goal of this process is the task of creating a single tariff system in Armenia and Artsakh," Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page.
