ArmInfo. The revenue of the sphere of information and telecommunication technologies (ICT) in the first half of 2019 reached 140 billion drams (about $ 290 million), exceeding the annual indicator by 3.9%. This is evidenced by the data of the Statcommittee of RA.
According to the source, the services sector dominates in the indicated total volume, which accounts for 82.1% or 115 billion drams (5.5% annual growth), of which the majority is represented by the telecommunications segment - 64.8 billion. AMD(an annual decline of 2.3%), and 47.3 billion drams is IT with an annual growth of 16.6%.
Revenues in the field of ICT in the trading sector on an annualized basis increased by 5.2% to 23.8 billion drams. And the smallest part fell to the production segment - only 1.2 billion drams, with an annual decline of 65.4%. Note that in the first half of 2018, the revenue of the ICT sector amounted to 135.3 billion drams ($ 280.6 million), with annual growth of 7.6%.
