Delegation of French company "Thales Group" arrived in Armenia

ArmInfo.At the invitation of the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, a delegation of the French company "Thales Group", headed by Vice President Philippe  Valery, arrived in Armenia. ArmInfo was informed  about this in the press service of the President of Armenia.

The head of state's administration reminded that the foundation for  cooperation with this French company was laid back in September 2018,  then RA President Armen Sarkissian met with the "Thales Group"  management during his visit to France, and in November 2018 he  visited the company's digital workshop and got acquainted with its  activities, ongoing programs, and also discussed issues related to  the prospects of cooperation with Armenian companies.

At the same time, the report notes that within the framework of the  visit, the representatives of  "Thales Group" will hold meetings with  the Minister of High Technologies and Industry of the Republic of  Armenia Hakob Arshakyan, the Minister of Science, Education, Culture  and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan, will visit the advanced technological  enterprises, in particular the Synopsis Armenia company ,  BetConstruct, Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, will meet with  representatives of Armenian startups, study Armenia's experience in  high technology, as well as successes.

"Thales Group" is a French multinational company that designs and  builds electrical systems and provides services for the aerospace,  defense, transportation and security markets. The company was founded  in 1892. The head office is located in the city of Neuilly-sur-Seine  near Paris. It has offices in more than 50 countries and employs  about 68,000 people. Thales is third in the world for the production  of airborne radar stations and electronic warfare systems. It  produces a significant part of the components of on-board electronic  equipment for military aviation. The company produces containers with  equipment for laser illumination of targets, surveillance and aiming  systems for aircraft, ships and tanks, reconnaissance day and night  TV cameras (including container versions), and complexes of  optoelectronic countermeasures.  100% of these products are  manufactured by Pilkington Optronics, part of Thales.
