ArmInfo. The National Assembly of Armenia elected Hasmik Ghahramanyan as a member of the Board of the Central Bank. Chairman of the Counting Committee Vahagn Hovakimyan stated this at the NA meeting.
"106 out of 132 MPs participated in the voting. 103 MPs voted in favor of her candidacy, and 3 MPs voted against", V. Hovakimyan said.
It should be noted that earlier, Hasmik Ghahramanyan held the position of chief adviser to the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. Hasmik Ghahramanyan is the wife of former Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan, who had previously worked for the Central Bank for many years and was a member of the Board of the Central Bank.
To note, Hasmik Ghahramanyan has been nominated by the parliamentary standing committee on financial-credit and budgetary affairs.
