ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia fixes an increase in the level of employment - in some cases, new jobs are opened, in a number of others - they are removed from the "shadow". Head of the SRC David Ananyan stated this on October 23 in parliament.
According to Ananyan, the department previously headed by him announced that in Armenia there were almost 65 thousand more registered jobs. So, compared with May 20, 2018, the number of registered jobs has increased by 64,899.
At present, the tax and customs committee does not have data for 9 months of 2019 - the deadline for submitting the calculation of income tax for September ended on October 20, and the head of the SRC did not manage to analyze the data. "One thing is clear - we are seeing dynamics in this direction. We should pay attention not to absolute numbers, but to trends, and the trend speaks of an increase, which is due to both the reduction of the" shadow "and the growth of the economy, in particular, the opening of new enterprises and new jobs, "he said.
The other day, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page reported that in Armenia there were about 30 thousand less unemployed people. According to him, unemployment in Armenia in the second quarter of 2019, compared with the same period in 2018, decreased by 29 thousand 200 people and amounted to 207 thousand 200 people. "Currently, official unemployment in Armenia is 17.7%, which means a decrease of 2.5% per annum," the Prime Minister said.
