David Ananyan: Over the past 2 years, budget revenues of Armenia  increased by 44%

ArmInfo. Over the past 2 years, the budget revenues of Armenia have increased by 44%, David Ananyan, head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia (QHD), told reporters at a press conference today, summing up the results of fiscal policy for 2019.

Ananyan recalled that earlier in his political statements, Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that in 2 years the country has the  opportunity to increase budget revenues by 30% -40%. In fact,  according to the head of the department, this indicator was achieved.

According to Ananyan, it is necessary to take into account that over  the past 2 years, the State Revenue Committee has returned to tax  agents about 200 billion drams through debit overpayments and on  balances of the so-called transitional over payments. This means, the  head of the department noted, that the CGD, at the expense of the  collected funds, in 2018-2019 reduced the state's debt obligations by  this amount and thereby reduced the actual indicator of budget  revenues. According to him, if in 2018 the actual tax rate was 1  trillion. 158 billion, and at the end of 2019 - 1 trillion. 464  billion, then to the difference of 306 billion it is necessary to add  the above 200 billion. drams and as a result get the total budget  revenue, which thereby increased by 44%.

Ananyan recalled that Armenia's GDP in 2019 amounted to 6 trillion.  756 billion drams of which 1 trillion.  401 billion, or 20, 74% were  planned as tax revenues. However, the actual implementation amounted  to 1 trillion. 464 billion, but excluding the return to tax agents of  debit debts of 42.8 billion drams. Taking into account these amounts  of return, tax revenues amounted to 1 trillion. 507 billion, which  indicates that last year the indicator of budget revenues was  exceeded by 105.2 billion drams.
