ArmInfo.The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia expects a 10% increase in exports by the end of 2019. Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatrian announced a similar forecast on January 14.
According to the results of 11 months, the minister noted that Armenia increased its export volumes by 9%, which was mainly due to an increase in the supply of brandy by 26.7%, cigarettes - by 9%, copper concentrate - by 16.8%, non-refined gold - by 31%, chocolate - 14.6%, fruit wines- by 75%, grape wines - by 26%, jewelry by 16%.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that high growth rates were also observed in terms of crop products (by 25%), which, according to the Minister, suggests that the sphere is promising from the point of view of development and in the matter of increasing the growth potential of the economy.
At the same time, Khachatryan emphasized that 2020 will also be possible to complete with 10% growth, which will be achieved mainly through the manufacturing industry.
To recall, in 2018, exports greatly slowed down annual growth - up to 7.8% from 25.2% in 2017, amounting to $ 2.4 billion. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, for the 11 months of 2019, exports already exceeded $ 2.4 billion.
