ArmInfo. It is too early to speak about inclusive economic growth in Armenia yet. A similar statement was made by economist, professor Tatul Manaseryan during a press conference on January 21, answering a question by ArmInfo correspondent.
<In Armenia, in comparison with post-Soviet countries, economic growth is higher, but this cannot satisfy us. Because we cannot provide a critical leap to ensure inclusive growth that would affect the social welfare of the population>, he said. In the same context, the economist emphasized that a similar level of economic growth will not allow and does not motivate young people to implement their knowledge and skills.
"Saying that nothing is being done will not be entirely true, but, nevertheless, this is not enough for us to motivate talents," he emphasized. According to Manaseryan, education continues to remain at a rather low level, and science, as the economist noted, remains in a deplorable state. <I would like to see the concern at these issues at the state level so that the tasks are formulated. And to solve them, at least, you need to find one scenario>, - he said.
Answering a question from ArmInfo correspondent, the economist noted that the head of government is a person sprung from the people who understands very well what is happening, but this is not enough. <We need to have at least a few <Nikol Pashinyan> in order to have a normal, conscious, ambitious, dynamic and focused team. The Prime Minister is not an economist, but he knows much more and is trying to do more than those who today hold the relevant posts. We are talking not only about the ministries, but also about those structures whose activities are designed to promote business, including SMEs. I don't understand what are they doing today?'', the economist wondered.
