ArmInfo.Armenian President Armen Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the Swiss Confederation, met with Suma Chakrabarti, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), at the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
As the Armenian President's press service told ArmInfo, recalling that Armenia and the EBRD are long- term partners, Sargsyan noted with satisfaction the effective cooperation between the bank and the EBRD and official Yerevan, as well as the implementation of successful projects in various fields.
In turn, Suma Chakrabarti emphasized effective cooperation with the Armenian government, adding that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is determined to continue assistance to the republic.
In this regard, Sargsyan confirmed the proposal of Armenia to hold an annual meeting of the EBRD in 2021 in the Republic of Armenia.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for the implementation of new joint projects, touched on the development of the financial market, new opportunities for cooperation in the field of information technology.
