ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan does not have a clear position on the project of introducing the Institute of Health Insurance. He stated this on January 22 in the country's parliament, answering the question of MP Arkady Khachatryan.
According to the prime minister, there is no single position in the government. Only one thing is obvious, continued Nikol Pashinyan, that any Armenian citizen should not remain outside the doors of a medical institution. "Our task is to ensure the proper health of citizens," the Prime Minister said, urging parliamentarians to also take part in public discussions proposed by the Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that several discussions on this issue took place in the government, but no concrete decision was made. He recalled that from January 1, 2020, the amount of income tax has been reduced, and this process will continue, and in the near future will amount to 20%. Considering the fact that the minimum wage has also increased, monthly, Armenian citizens, using the new income tax rates, will be able to receive an additional 1.5 billion drams. Over the past 1.5 years, the country's residents have been able to take advantage of serious financial assistance, and from January 1, this assistance will again increase from 2.5 billion drams to 4 billion drams.
