Armenia launches Exporter Developments Grants program 

ArmInfo. The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, with the assistance of the Investment Promotion Center within the framework of the World Bank's Trade Promotion and Quality Infrastructure program, announces a tender for grants for export- oriented sectors, including  agriculture, food processing and textile production.

The "Exporter Developments Grants - EDG" program is carried out with  the aim of financing business projects for the creation of logistics  centers, production nodes, operation of vehicles, and the provision  of marketing services in Armenia. Head of the "Export Armenia" group  Emil Stepanyan drew special attention to the component in terms of  marketing services, which, in his opinion, is the "Achilles' heel" of  the Armenian business, in particular export. , the expert said.

The total budget of EDG is $ 1.8 million. A state grant will be  provided in the amount of 70% of the total cost of a specific  project. In particular, it was noted that the category of expenses  under the EDG program includes repair work, modernization of  production processes, and the acquisition of new equipment.

Applications for participation in the tender can be submitted from  February 5, 2020 until (6:00 p.m.) to March 20 this year inclusive.
