VEON Armenia topped the list of largest taxpayers of Armenia among  telecom operators

ArmInfo. "VEON Armenia" CJSC (BeeLine trademark) leads the list of the largest taxpayers of Armenia among telecom operators. According to the published data of  the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia for  January-December 2019, the company took 10th place against 45th year  earlier, having allocated 12.2 billion drams to the budget through  taxes, of which 18.5 million drams - on customs duties, 3.5 billion -  for direct taxes (including income tax, profit tax) and 3.4 billion -  for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

 

"MTS Armenia" (VivaCell-MTS trademark), having moved to the 14th  position from the 13th year earlier, paid 9.8 billion drams to the  state treasury for 2019, of which 39.7 million drams - for customs  duties, 2.4 billion drams- for direct taxes (including income tax,  profit tax), 4.6 billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT,  excise tax).

UCom takes the 18th place (versus the 22nd a year earlier), having  paid 8.9 billion drams to the budget for taxes, of which 2.3 billion  - for customs duties, 2.4 billion - for direct taxes (including  income tax, profit tax) and 4.6 billion - on indirect taxes  (including VAT, excise tax).

"JNC Alpha" (Rostelecom trademark) went down to 176th place from  129th year earlier, having paid 1.31 billion drams to the budget on  taxes, of which 4.5 million - on customs duties, 439 million - on  direct taxes ( including income tax, profit tax) and 643 million -  for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

According to the RA State Revenue Committee, the four largest telecom  operators of Armenia paid 32.2 billion drams (with an annual growth  of 76%) to the state treasury in taxes for 2019, of which 2.3 billion  drams - for customs duties, 10.6 billion - for direct taxes  (including income tax, profit tax) and 12 billion - for indirect  taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

It should be noted that in 2018, the four largest telecom operators  in the total amount paid 18.3 billion drams to the state budget  through taxes, with an annual decline of 25.9%. (Estimated rate of  dram on 12/31/2019 amounted to 479.70 AMD / $ 1).
