ArmInfo. Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan met with member of the Board (Minister) for technical regulation of the EAEU Viktor Nazarenko.
According to the press service of the ministry, the parties discussed the issue "On Amending the Unified Product List" dated January 28, 2011. According to the amendments, other products containing nicotine, as well as nicotine fillers for nicotine delivery systems will also be subject to technical regulation. Viktor Nazarenko addressed the issue of classification of substances included in the concept of nicotine products with tobacco heating systems.
The parties discussed the issue of submission to the technical regulation of classical tobacco products of the tobacco products that are used by heating. At the same time, it was decided that further discussions would be organized with those responsible in this area in the EAEU countries regarding the need to amend the of the Customs Union.
The meeting also presented the need for urgent streamlining of other dangerous nicotine-containing products. Arsen Torosyan thanked for the cooperation and expressed hope that the issues discussed would soon be resolved.
