ArmInfo. Until 2023 in Armenia The institute of preliminary customs declaration will be introduced.
Shushanik Nersisyan, deputy chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Republic of Armenia, said this at a press conference in Yerevan on February 14.
According to her, at present, when crossing customs inspection points, they use the "red", "green" and "yellow" corridors.
It is at the border that customs declarations are executed, according to which a corridor is determined. Until 2023, all these procedures are envisaged to be transferred to the preliminary customs declaration format. This will enable customs services to be notified in advance about the goods, and determine if there is a need for inspection of the cargo or not. The use of the new institute, according to the estimates of the State Customs Committee, will make it possible to inspect only 7-8% of the cargo, the rest will be able to freely pass into the country.
Also, until 2023, it is planned to revise the package of documents required for customs clearance. It is planned, in particular, to introduce a Single Window service, which will significantly reduce bureaucratic barriers and improve the quality of the services provided. By the end of 2020, it is planned to introduce an online document submission system.
