ArmInfo. With the interval in each quarter, two companies will be privatized in Armenia in 2020. By decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan the schedule of preparatory work for the privatization of state property for 2020 was approved. This was reported by the press service of the Government of Armenia.
To recall, on November 28 last year, at a government meeting, a concept for managing state property for 2019-2023 was approved. Then Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Vache Terteryan noted that within the framework of the concept, it is envisaged to continue work on the privatization of state property in order to attract investment and create new jobs. It is planned, in particular, to get 48 billion drams following the alienation of state property. Moreover, these calculations, according to the deputy minister, are very cautious, the actual state revenues will be twice as high. The economic effect of the reform of state-owned commercial organizations will be at least 32 billion drams, which is also a low-key assessment. It is also planned to increase the efficiency of using state property, which will make it possible to get 843 million drams, including 336 million drams from leasing, 336 million drams from servicing and 103 million drams from optimizing state property.
