
ArmInfo. In 2019, 5,825 kg of gold (including galvanic deposition) was exported from Armenia, which in quantitative terms is 16.3% higher than the y-o-y indicator. According to the report of the RA Customs Service, the customs value of exported gold in 2019 increased by 27.4% per annum to $ 223.7 million.
During the reporting period, Armenia exported gold, as a year earlier, to Switzerland (96.6%), as well as to Italy (3.2%) and the UAE (0.2%).
At the same time, in 2019, 2 512.3 kg of gold was imported, which is 42.2% more than the year-ago indicator, for a total of $ 114.6 million (with a y-o-y growth of 56.7%). Among the countries supplying gold to Armenia, Russia also dominates (82.1%), followed by the UAE (15.7%), the USA (1.2%), as well as Turkey and Switzerland.
