ArmInfo. At the March 6 meeting, the RA National Assembly ratified the Armenian-Kyrgyz intergovernmental agreement to exclude double taxation of income and prevent tax evasion.
According to RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan, the agreement was signed on August 9, 2019 in the city of Cholpan-Ata on the sidelines of a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan. The agreement is consistent with the government program to expand international cooperation, especially with partners from the EAEU.
The deputy minister noted that trade between the two countries is currently insignificant. Medicinal products in the amount of $ 3-3.5 million are mainly exported from Armenia, fruits in the amount of $ 0.5 million are supplied to the Armenian market from Kyrgyzstan, mainly for processing. The signing of an income agreement between the states, according to the deputy minister, will provide an opportunity to create a stable and predictable field for foreign investors, while stimulating mutual investment benefits for both countries and enhancing trade and economic relations. Additionally, the agreement guarantees the expansion of the movement of labor and technology. The document regulates tax issues arising in trade and economic relations between the contracting states.
