Armenia increased liquefied gas supplies

ArmInfo. In 2019, Armenia slightly reduced natural gas imports by 0.3% - to 2,499,947 cubic meters. The customs value of imported natural gas increased by 11.1%,  amounting to $ 417.6 million.

According to the data of the RA Customs Service, natural gas was  imported into Armenia from Russia (86.7%), Iran (13.3%). In  particular, 2 166916 cubic meters of natural gas (y-o-y growth of  11.7%), were received from Russia and the customs value of this  volume amounted to $ 357.5 million (y-o-y growth of 22.8%). From  Iran, imports of natural gas decreased by 41.3% to 333,031 cubic  meters, amid decrease in customs value by 29.3% to $ 60.1 million.

According to the source, annual deliveries of liquefied gas increased  by 89.1% to 30,256.8 tons, with an increase in customs value by 79.4%  to $ 13.1 million. Liquefied gas comes to Armenia from Russia  (40.3%), Iran (30.2%), Iraq (28.7%) and Georgia (0.7%), which was not  on this list a year earlier.  In particular, from Russia, the import  of liquefied natural gas increased 2.4 times to 12,192.3 tons, while  the customs value increased 2.2 times to $ 4.8 million. Import of  liquefied natural gas from Iran increased several times to 9,148  tons, with a similar increase in customs value to $ 4.1 million. From  Iraq, imports of liquefied natural gas decreased by 18.9% to 8,696.5  tons. At the same time, the customs value decreased by 19.1% to $ 4  million.  According to the latest data of the Ministry of Territorial  Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia, in  2019, under the new indicative balance, 183 thousand tons of motor  gasoline were delivered to the republic, of which 155 thousand tons  were of Russian production. In addition, 191 thousand tons of diesel  fuel (155 thousand tons - Russian production), 48.2 thousand tons of  jet fuel (10.2 thousand tons of Russian production), as well as 2.2  thousand tons of paraffin (completely Russian production).
