ArmInfo. The issue of cooperation with the largest Armenian freight forwarding "Spayka" company is still on the agenda of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB). Head of the EDB Andrey Belyaninov stated this through a video conference -"Regional integration, cooperation of the Eurasian Development Bank with the EAEU countries" (Moscow-Yerevan-Minsk- Chisinau). <Due to the emergence of additional risks, we postponed this project somewhat, and so far we are not considering it closely, although it is a good project. It is necessary to re-evaluate it, taking into account the circumstances that are emerging in the conditions of the financial crisis>, he said.
In this context, Belyaninov noted that the EDB will approach this issue in the second half of this year. To recall, the State Revenue Committee (STC) of Armenia on April 5 accused director of Spayka LLC David Ghazaryan of evading taxes and customs duties of 7 billion drams through certain schemes. Ghazaryan denied these allegations, saying that of this amount, 5.5 billion drams are VAT payments, which, according to the law, were to be returned to the company.
On April 8, a court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan decided to arrest Ghazaryan. Later, the preventive measure against Ghazaryan was changed, he was released on bail.
