ArmInfo.Users of the Sberbank Online mobile application have the opportunity to make money transfers by phone number to the clients of the digital bank of Armenia - Evocabank. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Sberbank.
"Sberbank announces the connection of the first partner from the Republic of Armenia to its ecosystem of money transfers. Now, users of the Sberbank online mobile application will be able to transfer funds to cards or accounts of customers of the digital bank of Armenia - Evocabank," the statement said.
You can transfer funds in the section "Abroad - By phone number to card / account" in the Sberbank Online mobile application. There you should choose a bank and indicate the recipient's mobile phone number tied to his account or bank card.
The maximum transfer amount is 50 thousand rubles per day. The transfer is carried out in rubles and when credited to a card in the Republic of Armenia, it is automatically converted into the card currency. It is noted that the transfer fee is 1% of the amount.
Currently, Sberbank Online also offers transfers to banks in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that Evocabank (previously called Prometey Bank) has been operating in the financial market of Armenia since 1990. The rebranding of 2017 was aimed, inter alia, at transferring banking operations to the modern technological platform of mobile banking. The bank has developed a new application - Evocatouch. According to the Financial Rating of the Banks of Armenia prepared by ArmInfo Information Company as of December 31, 2019, Evocabank increased its assets for 2019 by 26.7% to $ 344.2 million, total capital - by 2.4% - to $ 61.7 million. The bank completed the year 2019 with net profit of $ 3.6 million, ensuring a y-o-y growth of this indicator by 59%, which allowed to increase both ROE and ROA - to 5.65% and 1.14%, respectively.
Evocabank's regulatory capital as of the reporting date amounted to 33.7 billion drams or $ 70.2 million (with a regulatory minimum of 30 billion others), and the bank is included in TOP-5 in terms of capital adequacy with a level of 20.98% (with a regulatory minimum of 12%). The bank managed to increase revenues from money transfers in 2019 by 66%.
