ArmInfo. Ambassador of Armenia to the Russian Federation, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the Committee on Economic Affairs at the Economic Council (EC) Vardan Toghanyan in Moscow takes part in the 85th meeting of the EC of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
As the press service of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation reports, Toghanyan also takes part in the plenary session of the International Economic Forum of CIS Member States "CIS + WORLD".
It should be noted that the heads of delegations of the Commonwealth countries at today's meeting discuss issues covering various areas of economic cooperation of the CIS member states. The draft Priority Directions for Cooperation between the CIS Member States in the Transport Sector for the Period until 2030 will be considered, which is aimed, inter alia, at developing an integrated transport system in the CIS space and efficient use of the transit potential of the CIS member states. The project contains provisions related to the issues of digitalization in transport, reduction of the negative impact of transport on the environment, cooperation in the field of transport security.
The heads of delegations will also discuss the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept of the coordinated social and demographic policy of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States for 2020-2023. The project is aimed at improving cooperation in the areas of labor protection, taking measures to maintain effective employment, providing social support to needy citizens, and much more.
The agenda also includes the draft Action Plan on the Year of Architecture and Urban Planning in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2021, questions <On giving the status of innovation commercialization centers of the member states of the CIS Interstate Innovative Cooperation Program for the period up to 2020>, <On awarding 2019 Prizes of the Commonwealth of Independent States for achievements in the field of quality of products and services>.
Members of the delegations will take part in the plenary meeting of the International Economic Forum of the CIS Member States <CIS + WORLD>. The forum program includes the International Tourism Congress <CIS + WORLD 2020>, thematic sections: <Network platforms of international cooperation in the industry of the CIS countries>; <Ensuring and strengthening financial stability>; <innovation in integration>.
