State Duma ratifies Protocol on cancellation of customs declaring  procedure at export of oil products from Russia to Armenia

ArmInfo. The State Duma ratified the Protocol on amending the Agreement between the  Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the  Republic of Armenia on cooperation in the supply of natural gas, oil  products and rough natural diamonds to Armenia dated December 2,  2013.

The protocol was signed in Moscow on October 4, 2019. It provides  that the export of Russian oil products (in particular, motor  gasoline with an octane rating of less than 95, diesel fuel, jet  fuel, heating oil, liquid oil paraffin) with the exception of natural  gas to the territory of the Republic of Armenia is carried out  without applying a temporary periodic customs declaration,  established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.  At the  same time, temporary customs declarations for the relevant goods, the  actual export of from the Russian Federation to the Republic of  Armenia for which were not made, and submitted for 2019 in accordance  with the protocol, are considered non-submitted.

The protocol begins to be applied temporarily after 15 days from the  date of receipt by the Russian side of a written notice by the  Armenian side on its implementation of the domestic procedures  necessary for the protocol to enter into force, and comes into force  on the date of receipt by the Armenian side of a written notice to  the Russian Federation on its implementation of the domestic  procedures necessary the entry into force of the protocol.

The document is aimed at simplifying the registration of export of  Russian oil products to Armenia, according to the conclusion of the  State Duma committee on energy, TASS reports.

Earlier, ArmInfo, referring on the Ministry of Energy of the Russian  Federation, reported that according to the indicative balance for  2020, Russia will supply 155 thousand tons of motor gas, 155 thousand  tons of diesel fuel, 10.2 thousand tons of jet engine fuel and 2.2  thousand tons this year to Armenia liquid oil paraffin. Deliveries  will be made in accordance with the Agreement between the Government  of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of  Armenia on cooperation in the supply of natural gas, oil products and  rough natural diamonds to the Republic of Armenia dated December 2,  2013.
