ArmInfo.The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is considering the possibility of assisting Armenia in the conditions of the COVID-19 crisis. This became known during the meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the Head of the ADB Armenian Office Paolo Spantigati. This was reported by the press service of the government.
According to the source, the Prime Minister emphasized that, depending on the further development of the COVID-19 crisis, it may be necessary to change the state's strategy and business plan.
He noted that the government should continue to promote business, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, by increasing the availability of the latter to the funds. At the same time, Pashinyan emphasized the importance of supporting agriculture. According to the report, the parties discussed the impact of coronavirus on ongoing programs and agreed that capital expenditures should be accelerated, as they are the main tool for revitalizing the economy.
Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked ADB for the assistance provided to the RA Ministry of Health in the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection.
