Prime Minister: In the first quarter of 2020, Armenia exceeded the  budget figures by 16.5% per annum

ArmInfo.According to the results of the 1st quarter of 2020, in comparison with the same period of 2019, Armenia exceeded the budget figures for tax revenues  by 49.5bn. drams, and compared to 2018. - for 100 billion drams. This  was announced on April 2 by the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during  a government meeting.

<We all realize that the crisis resulting from the coronavirus has  led to uncertainty, and it is obvious that we will lose this pace.  But by and large, the results of the first quarter indicate that  government policy is effective. Yes, new conditions have been  created, but now we must continue to make effective decisions>, the  head of government said, thanking citizens and business entities in  this regard for the responsible implementation of tax obligations, as  well as the State Revenue Committee. In particular, he emphasized  that in a crisis, the tax procedure should be more tightened.

At the same time, the prime minister drew attention to the fact that  the effectiveness of government actions, especially in times of  crisis, in all areas depends on available budgetary funds. "It is  necessary to do everything possible to complete 2020 with the highest  rates possible," Pashinyan said.
