Prime Minister: Armenian government will continue to develop  anti-crisis measures aimed at overcoming the consequences of  coronavirus

ArmInfo. The Armenian government will continue to develop anti-crisis measures aimed at overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus. This was announced on  April 4 at a meeting on the implementation of capital expenditures,  said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

According to him, the spread of infection is observed all over the  world, 1.119 million cases of infection have been confirmed, 59245  deaths have been recorded, 229 thousand people have recovered.   Unfortunately, as the head of government noted, the tendency towards  the spread of COVID-19 is also observed in Armenia. At the moment,  770 cases have been confirmed, 7 deaths, 43 people have recovered. Of  the total number of confirmed cases, more than 500 do not receive  treatment, because they do not even have a fever. However, they are  carriers of the virus, and for this reason are isolated.

As Nikol Pashinyan noted, the COVID-19 epidemic has led to economic  complications. The most important task of the government, he  continued, is to make decisions that will help prevent the spread of  the virus. In this context, 9 anti-crisis measures have been  developed and approved, of which 5 are social and 4 are of an  economic nature. Nikol Pashinyan noted that, in fact, the activities  of the government were transformed into the activities of the  operational headquarters to overcome the crisis. And here it is  important to evaluate approaches to solving socio-economic problems.  Due to the spread of the virus in the labor market, serious changes  will occur, and the task of the executive body should be to create  new jobs, including through the effective implementation of capital  expenditures. Today, the commandant's office of the state of  emergency is, on the one hand, the task of preventing the spread of  the virus, and on the other - creating conditions for the activities  of companies and organizations, expanding the conditions for economic  activity. And here, as the Prime Minister noted, it is extremely  important to effectively use the possibilities of capital  construction. Traditionally, underperformance has always been  observed for this component, but each underperformed percentage is  the fate of people, new jobs, etc. For this reason, the head of  government again called for more efficient use of the potential of  capital construction.
