ArmInfo.On April 7, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, during which the process of implementing credit programs in the agricultural sector was discussed.
As the press service of the Government of the Republic of Armenia reports, the Prime Minister was informed in particular about the management of agricultural resources by the communities, as well as about the development of the value chain programs that were launched in 2019. As part of the first program last year, agricultural cooperatives were allocated 612 units of agricultural machinery, new pastures with the necessary drinking water were built, as well as 42 km of water pipelines.
This year, it is planned to replenish the cooperative fleet with another 190 pieces of equipment and build 41 km of water supply. As part of this program, savings are expected that will be used to implement other projects.
Under the third program, grants are provided for implementing programs in the field of agriculture, and new cattle breeding centers are being built in various communities. Responsible for the sector noted that issues related to tenders and procurement provided for the start of construction work are underway, and the programs themselves will be completed on time.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of effective implementation of credit programs and noted that the formation of agricultural cooperatives and agricultural infrastructures are in the focus of government attention.
