Minister: The peak of frost in Armenia has passed

ArmInfo.Preliminary analysis shows that the peak of frost in Armenia has passed. Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan stated this at  a government meeting on April 9.

According to him, the day before yesterday frosts affected farms of  Lori, Tavush and Syunik regions, and on yesterday Ararat and Armavir.

However, as the head of the RA Ministry of Economy assured, the  weather did not cause significant damage to the agriculture of the  republic. Currently, department specialists are studying the  situation in the Ararat and Armavir regions. So, in Ararat, the air  temperature dropped to zero, and in Armavir is below zero. According  to preliminary data, some gardens in the Baghramyan area were  slightly affected. The final results of the studies will be ready  later. The minister added that this night a temperature drop is  expected, but noted that the peak of frost has passed. He urged  farmers to take care of the gardens the very next night.
