ArmInfo. At an extraordinary government meeting held on April 13, the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia adopted the 11th package of anti-crisis measures, which  relates to assisting citizens in terms of utility bills.

According to RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, the  beneficiaries of this assistance package will be those citizens whose  expenses for gas in February this year did not exceed 10 thousand  drams, and for electricity - 5 thousand drams.

As the Deputy Prime Minister explained, the state provides for  transferring 50% of the amount of its expenses to the beneficiary's  utility account, regardless of whether the latter had arrears in  paying utility bills or not, thereby mitigating the payment burden.  He emphasized that this assistance package does not limit citizens in  terms of participation in other state aid programs developed by the  government.

In this regard, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that according  to preliminary estimates, about 222 thousand citizens will become  beneficiaries. At the same time, he explained why the government will  cover only 50% of the costs: .

At the same time, Pashinyan emphasized that the government should not  deviate from the adopted strategy of economic policy. For this  reason, in every adopted social program, according to him, there is a  mandatory component of economic development, which is extremely  important from the point of view of ensuring the normal course of  implementation of all the outlined processes
