MP: Armenia needs <Post Bank> with state participation

ArmInfo. The Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia proposes to create a new financial structure in the country - Post  Bank, which will deal with issues related to servicing pensioners.  A similar initiative was introduced at the plenary session of the  Armenian parliament on April 15 by the deputy of the faction Mikayel  Melkumyan, commenting on the amendments to the law "On State  Pensions" submitted by the government.

To note, according to the draft law, it is envisaged to gradually limit the payment of pensions in cash.  Meanwhile, according to Mikayel Melkumyan, in order to solve the problem, it is necessary to create the  appropriate infrastructure with state participation, as France did, where a  similar bank is state-owned and dominates the market.  In his  conviction, Armenia should follow this example, since the  infrastructure of "HayPost" is still far from ideal.  He added that  the proposal of the faction will be submitted in writing to the  government.
