ArmInfo. The list of beneficiaries of the 3-package of measures to overcome the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in Armenia will be expanded. The decision on this was made at a meeting of the RA Government on April 16.
According to Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan, companies whose turnover in 2019 amounted to 24-500 million drams will be able to submit applications for a state loan in the amount of 10% of last year's turnover. Borrowers will not pay anything in the first six months, in the next 2 years they will pay the principal amount at a zero interest rate, and in the next three years - at 12% per annum. Moreover, the funds will be provided without bank guarantees in the presence of good tax and credit histories. The program previously included enterprises of the processing industry, manufacturing, catering, tourism, storage facilities, and healthcare. This list is expanding due to private kindergartens, sports clubs and swimming pools, urban construction, entertainment clubs (extreme tourism, bowling, billiards, etc.).
The minister also informed that 1.1 billion drams were allocated for the implementation of the program. The main goal of assistance is the preservation of capacities and jobs. According to him, about 100 organizations have already submitted relevant applications.
