Gazprom Armenia retained its leadership in the list of largest  taxpayers for the first quarter of 2020.

In the first quarter  of 2020, the list of the largest taxpayers of Armenia continues to be  headed by Gazprom Armenia, which paid 17.7 billion drams to the state  treasury with an annual growth of 31.1%, of which 89.2 million drams  - for customs duties, 2.1 billion drams ( including income tax,  income tax) - for direct taxes, 15.5 billion drams - for indirect  taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

According to the published data of the RA State Revenue Committee,  the five leaders paid a total of taxes to the budget 46.7 billion  drams (with annual growth of 11.5%), of which 6.6 billion drams - for  direct taxes (including income tax, income tax) and 37.7 billion  drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax). In total, the  1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia paid 245.6 billion drams to the  state treasury, exceeding the previous year by 11.1%. 

The second place, as a year earlier, was retained by the  Armenian-Canadian joint venture "Grand Tobako", which paid 15.3  billion drams to the state treasury (with an annual growth of 19.5%),  of which 655.3 million drams - according to customs duties, 2.1  billion drams - for direct taxes (including income tax, income tax),  13.1 billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

The third place was taken by (against the  6th position a year earlier), having paid 5.4 billion drams to the  state budget (with an annual growth of 38.5%), of which 1.2 billion  drams in customs duties, 1.2 billion drams - for direct taxes  (including income tax, income tax), 3.6 billion drams - for indirect  taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

CPA Oil Corporation moved up to fourth place from last year's 7th,  having paid 4.3 billion drams to the state treasury (with annual  growth of 13.2%), of which 30.1 million drams are for direct taxes  (including tax on profit, income tax), 4.3 billion drams - for  indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).  Closes the top five  telecommunications company "MTS Armenia", a year earlier occupying  the 202nd position. The company significantly increased payments to  the state treasury from 199.2 million drams to 3.9 billion drams, of  which, for customs duties - 4.4 million drams, for direct taxes - 1.1  billion drams, and for indirect taxes - 1.3 billion drams.

After them in the top ten are Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine  (ZMMK) (6th position, versus the 3rd year earlier), (7th position, versus the 32nd year earlier), Electric  networks Armenia (8th position, against the 4th year earlier), oil  trader (9th position, against the 8th year earlier) and  Aquilon Trade (10th position, against the 9th year earlier).  It  should be noted that, according to the results of the 1st quarter of  2019, TOP-5 included Gazprom Armenia CJSC (holding the championship  since 2012), Grand Tobako JV, Zangezur Molybdenum Plant, Electric  Networks of Armenia and GeoPromining. In total, they transferred 41.9  billion to the budget, of which 10.9 billion - for direct taxes  (including income tax, income tax) and 25.8 billion drams - for  indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax tax).
