Prime Minister: Effective implementation of capital expenditures  should be a priority tool in terms of overcoming the crisis

ArmInfo.Effective implementation of capital expenditures should be a priority tool in  terms of overcoming the crisis. This was announced on April 29 by the  Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting in the  Government of Armenia.

The Prime Minister noted that this year capital expenditures are of  particular importance. In particular, he emphasized that the  experience of the previous years has shown that traditionally capital  expenditures in Armenia are underfulfilled. "And if in 2019, despite  the volume of capital expenditures, an unprecedented indicator of  economic activity was registered in Armenia, then this year we are in  crisis," the head of government emphasized.

Pashinyan said that this year every unfulfilled percentage of capital  expenditures will mean not created jobs that have not received family  wages, business entities that have not received profit, which in turn  will further exacerbate the already difficult social situation in the  country. , he stressed. In this regard, the  Prime Minister recalled that most of the capital expenditures are  carried out by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and  Infrastructures.

In turn, the Minister of Territorial Administration and  Infrastructures Suren Papikyan said that for 2020 the budget provides  for capital expenditures of 22.4 billion drams, out of a total of 21  billion it will be allocated for the building construction. In  particular, it is planned to repair roads with a length of 250 km. In  the framework of other programs, partial repairs will be carried out  on a section of the road with a length of 80 km, it is planned to  repair 65 km of a vital road. In addition, it is planned to carry out  major repairs within the framework of the loan program for the  section with a length of 90 km. Construction will begin on May 5.  Papikyan touched upon programs on capital expenditures and other  directions.

Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Urban Planning Committee Armen  Gularyan reported on the progress of the housing construction program  in a natural disaster zone - in the cities of Spitak, Vanadzor and  Gyumri, and touched upon the design work for the construction of  multi-apartment buildings.

The Prime Minister instructed to carry out all the above work on a  large scale in a timely manner.
