
ArmInfo. The European Union is ready to help Armenia in the process of economic recovery and development, including through infrastructure programs. This was stated by the Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi during a video call with RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. According to the press service of the government, during the conversation, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope that with Oliver Varhelyi's assuming the post of the EU Commissioner, the cooperation between the RA and the EU will deepen even more. Expressing gratitude for the assistance provided by the EU during this difficult time, Grigoryan presented the EU Commissioner 16 packages of anti-crisis measures developed by the government to mitigate the socio-economic consequences. Oliver Varhelyi highly appreciated the anti-crisis measures implemented by the government and assured that the areas of cooperation voiced by the Prime Minister of Armenia will become priorities on the RA-EU agenda. The Deputy Prime Minister said that work is being carried out daily between the government and the EU Armenian mission. He expressed satisfaction with the fact that even in difficult times it was possible to continue work on ongoing programs in key areas of the RA-EU agenda, including infrastructure development, judicial and legal reforms and reforms in the Police. In turn, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, in the context of RA-EU cooperation, emphasized the importance of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) as a platform of inclusive cooperation and values, as well as its key importance in terms of stimulating regional cooperation between the EaP countries. The Minister also touched on the importance of starting a dialogue on the liberalization of the visa regime of the RA-EU.
