The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) decided to extend the period of exemption from import duties of a certain group of medical goods on the EAEU market until September 30, 2020, instead of the previously stipulated deadline - until June 30. This was reported by the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia (SRC).
To recall, in order to minimize the negative economic consequences of the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19, to prevent a shortage of socially important goods in the EAEU countries, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved a list of critical import goods on April 3. In relation to them, a tariff concession is provided in the form of exemption from import customs duties during importing into the states of the Eurasian Economic Union from April 1 to June 30 this year inclusive.
The list of these products includes selected agricultural and food products (potatoes, onions, garlic, cabbage, carrots, peppers, rye, long-grain rice, buckwheat, juices and prepared foods for baby food), selected finished medicines and medical supplies (endoscopes , non-contact thermometers, disposable pipettes, mobile disinfection units).
