ArmInfo.Former president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan will retain his membership on the board of directors of AFK Sistema (AFKS). According to TASS, as message of , Sistema said, such a decision was made at the AFKS's board of directors on May 16.
According to the source, the Board of Directors may also include RUSNANO CEO Anatoly Chubais, and Vladimir Chirakhov, President of AFK Sistema.
The main shareholder of AFK Sistema is the chairman of the board of directors of the corporation Vladimir Yevtushenkov (59.2%), the free float of ordinary shares is 16.5%, the free float GDR is 15.9%. AFKS's Group companies, members of the board of directors and management of Sistema own 8.4% of ordinary shares and GDR.
Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan is accused of overthrowing the constitutional order in a criminal case to disperse protests on March 1, 2008. The ex-president of Armenia was arrested twice in 2018. And on June 25, 2019, he was arrested for the third time.
