Communication sector`s revenues decreased by 2.8%in January-April  2020

Communication   sector's revenues of Armenia amounted to 45.8 billion drams ($ 95  million) in January-April2020, having decreased by 2.8% year on year,  against the 4.5% decline a year earlier. According to the RA  Statistical Committee, of the total proceeds, the lion's share is  provided by the telecommunication sector - 90.3% or 41.4 billion  drams with an y-o-y decline of 3.1% (against the 8.7% decline a year  earlier).

According to statistics, in April 2020 alone, the total revenue of  the communications sector amounted to 11.1 billion drams, with a  monthly decline of 4.5%. At the same time, the telecommunication  sector provided revenue of 10 billion drams in April, reducing this  figure for the month by 4.2%.

As a comparison,   in January-April 2019 communication  sector's revenues of Armenia amounted to 47.2 billion drams. Of the total proceeds, 42.7 billion drams accounted for telecommunications.

The average settlement rate of AMD in April 2020 amounted to 488.66  dr / $ 1, and in January-April - 483.90 dr / $ 1, against 484.29 dr /  $ 1- in April 2019 and 486.49 dr / $ 1- in January- April 2019.
