Armenia within the EAEU received privileges on customs duties on  imports of 600 items of goods

ArmInfo. Armenia, within the  framework of the EAEU, received privileges on customs duties on  imports of about 600 items of goods presented at the following link:   https://docs.eaeunion.org/docs/ru-ru/01425463 / err_30042020_62

According to the press service of the State Revenue Committee of  Armenia (SRC), a similar decision was made on April 28 this year,  which entered into force on June 12 this year.

Taking into account the fact that, according to the previous  agreement, preferential customs import rates for Armenian economic  entities within the framework of the EAEU were valid until December  31, 2019, the latter from January 1 to June 11 this year imported  goods at high rates effective on the day of customs declaration.

In this regard, the Armenian government initiated a process of  compensation of funds to these economic entities. As of today, over  57 million drams have already been reimbursed to importers; according  to preliminary estimates, the total amount of compensated funds will  amount to 2.3 billion drams.

It is reported that in order to receive compensation for the funds  (the difference in customs duties paid), the economic entity or its  successor must submit a statement to the SRC, on the basis of which  the customs body will examine the customs clearance of goods and  organize the return process.
